What is MIDL?
Modules for Innovative & Diverse Leaders (MIDL) increases the diversity of industry leaders at the most senior levels in the field of biotechnology, medical technology and consumer healthcare.
A MIDL Workshop will be held October 2nd 2017 in Philadelphia. Middle managers, clinicians and academics with 5+ years of work experience are invited to apply.

To be considered, you must meet the following criteria:
An advanced degree or MD in a discipline relevant to medical technology, consumer healthcare, or pharmaceuticals is required
Applicants must be African American, Hispanic, Native American or Pacific Islander
Benefits and participation:
There is no cost to attend the MIDL Workshop. Participants receive up to $250 in travel cost reimbursements and complementary registration for a 1-day MIDL Workshop. Meals are provided during the Workshop.
Industry leaders conduct breakout coaching sessions and engage in group experience based discusssions. With the help of coaches, participants also create individualized MIDL Leadership Plans. This includes leadership develop goals and action items.
- Middle managers, academics and clinicians who want to expand their skills and understanding of management and leadership
- Attendees will need an appropriate level of knowledge and experience to contribute to discussions and group activities
- Participants are seleted from a variety of backgrounds and organizations in clinical settings, industry, academia or the public sector
Selected MIDL participants complete pre-reading and worksheets on topics related to Leadership, Business Acumen, Personal Purpose, Leading Change, Vision and Story Telling.
After the MIDL Workshop, participants receive access to follow up debriefs, MIDL Modules, Webinars and other online leadership development resources.
Participants also have access to MIDL Coaches and can post questions on the MIDL Portal.
